Identical on either option. The figure you see is the figure you pay for the first 12 months — there is nothing separate to buy before a clinician can start dictating.
- Dragon Medical One 12-month licence, one clinician
- PowerMic Mobile app — use your iPhone or Android as a wireless microphone
- Professional remote installation on your Windows environment
- One hour of personalised one-on-one training
- 12 months of Australian-based technical support by phone, email and remote session
- Access to subscriber-only training videos
- Automatic cloud updates for the life of the subscription
Every subscription on this page is supplied and supported by Voice Recognition Australia, an authorised Australian reseller of Dragon Medical One. The full product listing there carries current stock, customer reviews and the ordering process, and is where the buttons above lead.
Before you compare on price alone
You will see Dragon Medical One advertised in Australia for under A$1,000. That is a real price for a real licence — but an advertised figure and the amount a practice ends up paying are not always the same thing, because different sellers include different things in it.
Whoever you buy from, ask these six questions and get the answers in writing:
- Is remote installation included, or charged separately?
- Is one-on-one training included, or charged separately?
- Is technical support included for the full 12 months, and is it based in Australia?
- Is the PowerMic Mobile app included?
- What does the licence cost to renew in year two?
- Is the advertised figure GST inclusive or exclusive?
A licence-only price with installation, training and support added afterwards can land higher than a package price that looked dearer at first glance. Put both on the same basis over two years and compare the totals. If a seller will not confirm inclusions in writing, that in itself tells you something.
We are not suggesting any particular supplier is doing anything improper. Pricing structures differ legitimately across the market. This is simply the comparison we would want a clinician to make before committing.
More than one clinician?
Volume, practice and hospital licensing is priced separately.
Practices and medical centres
Volume pricing applies from a handful of clinicians upward. Installation and training are scheduled around your practice rather than done once and left. Tell us the number of clinicians and which clinical software you run and we will come back with a figure.
Hospitals and enterprise
Centralised administration through the Nuance Management Center, shared vocabularies and auto-texts, Active Directory authentication, and support for Citrix, VMware and RDS. We work with your IT and procurement teams on deployment planning.
Common questions about pricing
Anything not covered here, ask us directly — we would rather answer it before you buy.
How much does Dragon Medical One cost in Australia?
Voice Recognition Australia lists Dragon Medical One at A$1290 per user per year on the automatic renewal option, or A$1490 per user per year without automatic renewal. Both figures are GST inclusive and include the licence, PowerMic Mobile, remote installation, one hour of personalised training and 12 months of Australian technical support. Pricing verified 13 August 2026 and may change.
What is the difference between the two options?
The only difference is how renewal is handled. At A$1290 your subscription renews automatically on your card each year and you save A$200. At A$1490 nothing renews automatically and we contact you before expiry. What you receive in the first 12 months is identical.
Is there a discount for multiple clinicians?
Yes. Volume pricing is available for practices, medical centres and hospitals, along with centralised management through the Nuance Management Center and support for Citrix, VMware and RDS environments. Tell us how many clinicians you have and we will price it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. We arrange a free trial, install it remotely on your Windows environment and walk you through it. Most practices are dictating on the day the trial starts.
Why are some Dragon Medical One offers advertised for less?
Advertised figures are not always comparing the same thing. Some are licence-only and exclude installation, training, support or the PowerMic Mobile app; some are exclusive of GST; and renewal pricing in year two can differ from the first-year figure. Ask any supplier to confirm in writing what is included and what renewal costs, then compare the totals.
What happens at the end of the 12 months?
On the A$1290 option the subscription renews automatically and support continues uninterrupted. On the A$1490 option we contact you before expiry to arrange renewal. You can change between the two at any renewal.
Not sure Dragon Medical One is the right fit? The comparison table on our home page sets it against desktop dictation, built-in Windows tools and ambient AI, and our Dragon Copilot page covers what is coming to Australia next.
Try it before you pay for it
Tell us about your practice and we will arrange a free trial, install it remotely and train whoever will be using it. We will confirm your exact price in writing at the same time.
